Itinerary

Arrival at Hanoi International Airport, transfer by English-speaking driver to the hotel. Free time in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, located in the north of the country, east of the Red River. The origin of its name has undergone several changes throughout history, and currently means "The city between two rivers". Considered one of the main cultural centres of the country, with a rich French-style heritage, the city preserves an 11th-century imperial citadel that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Today we will explore Hanoi, considered one of the few Asian cities with tree-lined avenues, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. We will start by visiting the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior) and President Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. We will then continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 on a single stone pillar by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, who reigned from 1028 to 1054. We will then visit the Temple of Literature, which was Vietnam's first university and is dedicated to Confucius. We will then head to Hoan Kiem Lake, the soul of the city, where we will admire the surrounding landscape, including the old quarters and the statue of King Ly Thai To. Afterwards, we will take a panoramic cyclo pousse ride through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, also known as the 36-street district, since it was once known for the craftsmen who lived there and for the workshops that were there. Finally, we will head to the Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on a small peninsula in Ho Tay (West Lake), known as Lotus Flower, which always surprises its visitors with its poetic beauty and historical values. It is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, with more than 1,500 years of existence. Today, the pagoda is a place where visitors seek inner peace, immersing themselves in the harmony of natural beauty and ancient architecture. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure by shared bus to Halong Bay, which means “the dragon that descends from the sea” in Vietnamese, and according to legend, it was a dragon who formed the islands in the bay. Embark on a wonderful cruise to visit the bay. Lunch on board. After lunch, we will continue sailing and discover thousands of islands and islets with abundant vegetation that emerge in the bay with their unusual shapes and different sizes. The emerald waters of this legendary treasure lead us to explore sublime islands. Due to its unique beauty, geological peculiarity, biological wealth, cultural and historical importance, Halong Bay was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994 and included in the list of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World since 2011. Beyond contemplating the magnificent landscape, we enjoy free time or some of the activities offered by the boat. Dinner and accommodation on board.

Breakfast. We will start the morning with a visit to the Cave, which we will access by boat. Then, we will have a good Brunch to recharge our batteries and begin the return to land. Disembark at the Halong pier, from where we will transfer to Hanoi by shared bus to the airport to take the departure flight. (The return flight from Hanoi must be after 6:00 p.m. For flights before that time, it will be necessary to book an extra night in Hanoi). End of our services.
