Itinerary

Upon arrival in the capital of India "New Delhi", you will be greeted by our representative at the Airport. After a warm welcome, you will be escorted to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel

Today, enjoy a day discovering Delhi, strolling through the city that is as historic as it is modern, like two sides of the same coin! This morning, enjoy the Old Delhi tour, including a visit to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; a Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, “the Silver Street”, one of the largest shopping malls in India; pass by Red Fort, the place that marked the announcement of India’s freedom from the British Raj; visit Raj Ghat, site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation In the afternoon, discover the modern city of New Delhi, including a visit to Qutab Minar, a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture and the tallest minaret in the world; Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the largest Sikh temple in Delhi, with a golden tomb, still in active worship; Photo stop at India Gate, the war memorial arch built in honour of the soldiers who died in World War II, past the President's House, Parliament House and other government buildings, the most impressive features of Lutyen's Delhi.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Varanasi, the oldest city in the world, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Upon arrival in Varanasi, transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, experience a Rickshaw ride on the ghats to enjoy the grand Aarti ceremony at Dasaswamedh Ghat. Overnight at hotel.

At dawn take a boat ride on the Ganges River and visit numerous bathing and cremation ghats and see the 'bathing ghats' where thousands of pilgrims pay homage to the sun god by immersing themselves in the holy water of the Ganges River, and the 'burning ghats', where cremations take place. The Ganges River ghats in Varanasi are believed to be most sacred, covering the entire circle of life and death. After breakfast. Breakfast. In the morning visit the ancient city of Varanasi visiting Bharat Mata Mandir, Durga Temple and Beneras Hindu University. In the afternoon visit Sarnath Temple, the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Sarnath was a renowned school of learning from the 6th century BC to the 12th century AD. Visit the ruins, stupa, Buddhist temple and Sarnath Museum. Overnight at hotel

After breakfast, drive to Allahabad. On arrival in Allahabad, check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Allahabad with Anand Bhawan, the historic house museum which also houses the Jawahar Planetarium. Triveni Sangam, the meeting point or confluence of three of the most important rivers in the Hindu religion, Triveni Sangam, is a sacred place. Khusro Bagh, is currently a walled garden of typical Mughal construction with three sandstone mausoleums. Shah Begum's tomb is designed in a style similar to Fatehpur Sikri with a three-tiered layout. All Saints' Cathedral also known to locals as Patthar Girja, a world-famous church. Overnight at hotel

After breakfast, drive to Khajuraho and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, visit Eastern and Western Groups of Temples. Western Group, the most important temple is the Kandariya Mahadeo-Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the largest and most elaborate of the temples in Khajuraho. Also visit the Chaunsat Yogini Jain Temple, dedicated to the 64 "yoginis" or attendants of Goddess Kali. Eastern Group of temples, include the Ghantai Temple, Vamana Temple dedicated to the "Vamana" or dwarf incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the Javarì Temple. There are also three Jain temples with beautiful carvings and erotic sculptures. Although these are Jain temples, they also contain numerous Vaishnava deities. Overnight at hotel

After breakfast, drive to Jhansi railway station. En route visit Orchha, a medieval city, popular for its palaces and temples. Famous places in Orchha are Jahangir Mahal and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Then proceed to Jhansi railway station to board the train to Agra, one of the seven wonders of the world. On arrival in Agra, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

This morning, experience the breathtaking beauty of the symbol of love, the Taj Mahal. Often referred to as a poem in white marble, Taj Mahal depicts the love saga between Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Also, visit Agra Fort, which is built in red sandstone and has magnificent palaces, public and private audience halls and beautiful gardens. Overnight at hotel.

This morning drive to Jaipur, the land of the Rajputs. Jaipur is an abundance of colour, dance and traditional arts and crafts. Known as the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is home to ancient forts and palaces as well as one of the best planned cities in India. En route to Jaipur, make a brief stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal palace complex in red sandstone. Within the complex is a mosque built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and dedicated to Sheikh Salim Chisti, a Sufi Muslim Saint who blessed Emperor Akbar with a son. On arrival in Jaipur, check-in to your hotel. Later, explore the many facets of Jaipuri craftsmanship like semi precious jewellery, pottery, colourful embroidered fabrics with mirror work, woven carpets etc. Watch artisans at work and enjoy souvenir shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast. This morning excursion to the deserted city of Amber (the former capital of the Rajput Empire), famous for its fort, which we will climb on elephant back or jeep to its fortified palace whose pavilions are adorned with paintings and marble filigree. In the afternoon visit the City Palace complex with its museums and Jantar Mantar, with the ancient astronomical observatory, and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), built in the 18th century. This palace with its countless windows and investigated balconies was built especially for royal women to view the city and the processions from behind their purdahs. Overnight at hotel.

This morning, drive to Jodhpur, a city surrounded by high stone walls with seven gates and several bastions. This second largest city in Rajasthan was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 AD. Upon arrival in Jodhpur, check in to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.

This morning, visit the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, and the magnificent palaces within the fort - Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana, all of which are stunning examples of architectural excellence. Near the fort complex is the Jaswant Thada, and a group of royal cenotaphs (burial monuments) made of white marble. While in Jodhpur you can shop for exquisite hand-made items such as embroidered shoes, metalware, silverware, paintings and tie-and-dye fabrics. This afternoon, experience a jeep safari to the nearby Bishnoi villages, to get a feel for the way of life of the local Rajasthani people. Bishnoi are a village community of Rajasthan, who are famous for their cultural lifestyle and their love for nature and animals. You get the opportunity to observe the village lifestyle and interact with the villagers, herders, farmers and weavers of the region. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed to Udaipur. En route visit the famous Jain Temples at Ranakpur. The Ranakpur Temple, built in the 15th century, is one of the largest Jain Temples in India. It is known for its architecture, grand structures and exquisite sculptures. Continue your journey to Udaipur, a serene city nestled in the picturesque valley of the Aravali Hills, surrounded by three lakes - Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Udai Sagar. Overnight at hotel.

This morning, we will visit the city of Udaipur, including the City Palace, one of the largest palace complexes in Rajasthan; Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, a garden for bridesmaids; Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, a folklore museum and Jagdish Temple. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mumbai, a bustling commercial city and the film capital of India. Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, this morning we will explore the city of Mumbai, visiting the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, Gandhi Museum and the bustling Dhobi Ghats where you will see hundreds of men and their families busy in the family business of laundry. This afternoon is free for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Today, they will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to their homeland.
